The Centre is Elsewhere II

The exhibition The Centre is Elsewhere II explores trauma as a consequence of the functioning of society. The artists Klára Kusá and Andrea Uváčiková critically challenge the societal notion that a deteriorating mental state is a failure on the part of the individual.

Drawing upon contemporary philosophical theories as well as personal experience, they work with text, digital imagery, video, and recycled materials. Through contributions from guest artists and audience involvement, they deliberately disrupt the traditional hierarchy between creator and viewer.
