About us

The Bratislava City Gallery aims to collect works of art, as well as study, restore and conserve our collections, while encouraging the widest possible access to these cultural treasures through expositions and cultural and educational activities.

Dear Friends,

Bratislava City Gallery welcomes all citizens of and visitors to Bratislava. Our ambition is to offer an opportunity to view permanent and temporary exhibitions of Slovak and international art. We invite you to spend time in the pleasant atmosphere of the Gallery, housed in two historical buildings.

This website offers comprehensive information about the activities and collections of the Gallery, from its founding to the present. We hope it will become a useful source of information for cultural events that the Gallery initiates and participates in, in Bratislava. Please also consider it as your invitation to these events. We believe you will enjoy the genial ambiance of the Gallery and become constant visitors.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

PhDr. Ivan Jančár
