Provide your class with a creative experience in the company of works of art at one of the GMB’s educational programmes. Our programmes promote the development of visual literacy, critical thinking, sensitivity to diversity, and the expression of ideas and opinions while remaining open-minded and respectful of each other. We produce educational programmes based on content standards, creating cross-curricular links between topics in the field of art and culture and other disciplines to enable art to become a natural part of young people's lives.

For foreigners living in Slovakia, for friends and visitors from abroad, or to improve your English. Regularly, once a month, one early Thursday evening is dedicated to an English tour of current exhibitions or permanent exhibitions.

Ex Libris has been part of Bratislava's cultural scene for almost thirty years – and now it is opening a new chapter in the premises of the Bratislava City Gallery. You will find it on the ground floor of Mirbach Palace on Františkánske Square, in the atmosphere of a historic palace that invites you to stop for a moment and explore.

Art comes in many forms, and some can be drunk. You can find premium coffee, natural wines, hot cocoa, fermented lemonades and something small to eat on the ground floor under the exhibitions of artworks. Emil cafe, a fantastic host, has made his home in the Mirbach Palace. He will welcome you inside under the vaults and in the courtyard.

The Bratislava City Gallery Library is a specialist library specialized in fine arts, architecture and applied arts. The library's establishment started with the creation of the gallery in the Primate's Palace.
