Vladimír Preclík. Unknown/ Gateau and Chaplin
In 1989 the City Gallery of Bratislava prepared an exhibition to celebrate the 60th birthday of one of the most influential Czech sculptors Vladimír Preclík. By this occassion 18 Slovak artists gifted him with a GATEAU, created from 18 art pieces. On the project took part: Juraj Hovorka, Rudolf Sikora, Ondrej Zimka, Jozef Kostka, Juraj Meliš, Ján Hoffstädter, Stanislav Balko, Mikuláš Palko, Vojtech Kolenčík, Tamara Kolenčíková, Alojz Klimo, Tamara Klimová. Ivica Krošláková, Vladislav Rostoka, Svetozár Mydlo, Viktor Hulík, Andrej Goliáš, Vladimír Kompánek.
On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the late Vladimír Preclík the City Gallery of Bratislava has decided in cooperation with Juraj Meliš to repeat the exhibition, not only the now legendary GATEAU but also more pieces from Vladimír Preclík and chamber pieces from mentioned Slovak authors and in this way to remember the artistic message of this outstanding artist.
