Natasha Florean. Sea, Earth and Flora

The City Gallery of Bratislava systematically presents the creations of authors, who have their roots in Slovakia and for many years from many reasons were active abroad. During the last two years we have introduced in this way the works of Endre Nemes (in collaboration with Henkel Slovensko), Jakub Bauernfreund and Matej Krén ( in collaboration with Henkel Slovensko). In the Gallery of actualities in Pálffy palace we will introduce the works of Nataša Floreanová who in 1969 went to Sydney. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts; she did postgraduate studies in graphics at the National Arts School in Sydney, later painting at the Scuola Lorenzo di Medici in Florence. She received a few stipends as well as a few important awards.
At the exhibition will be introduced her newest graphic prints created with a special graphic technique intaglio – collagraph, locally added with Chine Colle, or collage. They are woven through with delicate structures; important is the feeling of meditation, peace and internal harmony. For Nataša Floreanová the external shape signs are the way for searching for their hidden appearance and overlapping of individual layers of feelings from the magical influence of the sea, earth and flora.
