9th annual of the project Henkel Slovakia for Slovakia Matej Krén. Introspective
In the term from 26 November 2008 till 8 March 2008 the Slovak public has the opportunity to see in the Bratislava City Gallery in Mirbach palace the unique exhibition of projects from the artist Matej Krén, who became remarkably internationally renowned unlike any other Slovak artist until now. The exhibition Matej Krén – Introspective is the follow up of the artistic project Henkel Slovakia for Slovakia, which is already for the ninth time realised by the company Henkel Slovakia. His demanding and non compromising approach to creation enables the visitors to discover ones from the most admired and most fascinating works of contemporary fine art. At this exhibition which from the point of view of financing and realisation is the most demanding in the history of the Bratislava City Gallery, five of the author’s outstandingly impressive projects are presented. Characteristic for them is their hypnotic focal point – the book. The Virtual stone garden origins from the year 1995-1996 and it wasn’t exhibited in Slovakia yet. The History of Art (Second edition) and the oil painting Cone will be for the first time presented at this exhibition, as well as the monumental installation from books Scanner and the project Window (of the tonic space) adapted for the particular space.
