Alexander ECKERDT Septemebr 11th - October 19th

ALEXANDER ECKERDT (1932 - 1992)
Alexander Eckerdt is sensitive artists following his very own thoughts and inspirations. He lived and worked in Košice, eastern region of Slovakia. His short, but intense work reflects history. That kind of history we all went through in recent past. There is bright joy and tender yea-saying to the reality. Urban topics, worship to life in modern times and well hidden empathy. Those were the sixties. But in seventies, virtue is replaced with bitterish distance. Sarcasm and irony. Eckerdt produces transparent and marches in first line during breaking days of Velvet revolution.
