KAMILA ŠTANCLOVÁ: Days and dreams

Pálffy Palace (show Contact)
2. 9. 2009 - 25. 10. 2009
Curator: Fedor Kriška

The exhibition of Kamila Štanclová maps the author’s artistic development since her graduation from the Academy of Fine Arts ( Prof. D. Milly, Prof. V. Hložník) in 1971 in all disciplines and art techniques, which she constantly and meaningfully uses (painting, graphics, ex libris, drawing, book illustration, post stamps). In recent years, a big inspiration for her painting phase became cabaret and variety, where the dominant role was played by masks and costumes, which show hypocrisy and pharisaic attitude, just like in life. In these picture metaphors, just like in graphic letters, she prefers free laws of imagination, fantasy and her own logic of her own expression.
