The selection of works presented in the Immortality exhibition is reduced to five series, mostly, because they can be a representative and concentrated image of the most substantial of Boďa's past work. The respective series Surprises (since 2007), Menu (since 2009), Soiled by Flies (since 1993), Juxtapositions (since 1996) and Sad Entertainment (since 2002) are open compilations of an unlimited number of works.

At the beginning of the nineties, Boďa has bought a country house close to Bratislava. Even if it may seem that this piece of information does not belong here, the opposite is true. The change of place provided him not only with generous studio space, but also the environment teeming with nature profoundly infiltrated his work. The attic and garden provided him not only with the typical „attic treasures“ (old photographs, books and newspapers), but mainly with, at the time, important initiation material (larvae, cocoons, insects or skeletons and mummified remains of rodents, lizzards and birds), which has radically rebuilt the itinerary of his prior work. From the preserved skeletons and bodies of the found animals, he gradually began to create their „immortal form“ and construct the first concepts of stories, gags and morals, which he has been assembling and arranging in transparent polyester objects, ever since. The format of an object has, over the years, become his basic framework, just like the surface of a canvas, paper or a TV screen is for other artists.  If we return to the present, all the essentials mentioned above are present in his work to this day, either in their physical form or as a concept or an idea.

The work of Miloš Boďa is indeed far from superficial ideologies, schematism or mannerism, whether conceptual or craftfully effective. Boďa's insurrance and protection from a possible aberration lies in his characteristic sense of irony, a smaller or bigger dose of cynicism, even in the occasional incorrect dark humor, which accompany almost all of his works.
