Attila Csáji was born in 1939 in Moldava nad Bodvou. Since 1948, he has lived and created in Budapest. In the 1960s and 1970s, he was one of the key organizers of the Hungarian avant-garde. In the 1970s, he began experimenting with a new method of visual transformation and created the so-called method of superposition, which he later patented. Consequently, many European countries have invited him to lecture and present his artwork (the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, Finland - Finnlandia Hall, Messepallas in Stuttgart, etc.). In 1987, he was awarded a Soros scholarship (Boston, New York City). On the basis of his artwork in the field of light art, he was accepted as a member of the CAVS - Institute of Technology in Massachusetts. In 1991, with the support of the US Inter-science Technology, he examined the possibilities of laser imaging and became a member of the Leonardo/ISAST (Los Angeles). Following the change of political regime in Hungary, he became actively engaged in public life and currently he is one of the leaders of the transformation of the Hungarian artistic life. He played an important role in the establishment of the Kepec Visual Centre in Eger. In 1993, he organised a national light-symposium based on interdisciplinarity. Since 1995, he has organized a video-string between the major museums and galleries in Budapest for the purpose of informing the public about current events and the creation of a consistent archiving system. He is the President and one of the founders of the International Kepes Society established in 1996. At present is brings together 90 internationally recognised artists from 16 countries and regularly organizes the International Light-Symposium.

In Bratislava, the artist will present a solo-exhibition Path of Light, during which he will present his artwork in the field of Light Art through the installation of an animated video, photos with a laser position, a mobile with a laser light and the statues with neon light, all that accompanied by an autobiographical informative movie.
