Alojz Stróbl belongs to the most distinct figures of central – European sculpting of his era.
The main part of his life he lived in Budapest, where besides smaller creations he realised also a big number of public orders and the Hungarian art-science marks him to be the leading personality of the Hungarian sculpting of the break of the 19th and 20th centuries. Until now there has been no concentrated attention paid to this author in Slovakia. And it is so, even despite the fact that mainly with the view at historic context; the life destinies and the artist’s creation are bound to both countries – Hungary just like Slovakia, which in those times were constituents of the Austrian – Hungarian monarchy. The exhibition is held in cooperation with GPMB in Liptovsk
ý Mikuláš and SNG.
